Antioch, Tennessee is a neighborhood of Nashville in southeastern Davidson County. The town began as a church near Mill Creek in 1810. Because many of the residents worked in Nashville, the community became a commuter town. Although the town continued to grow through suburbanization, it was never incorporated as a city. Despite the fact that the boundaries of Antioch were not clearly defined, the town continued to draw people and continued to grow.
